CHESHIRE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER | MACDONALD PORTAL HOTEL
I was delighted when Emma and George asked me to be their Macdonald Portal Hotel Cheshire wedding photographer as this would be my second visit to this gorgeous Cheshire venue. I arrived nice and early at the stunning Macdonald Portal hotel to see Emma and her bridesmaids. The sun was bursting through giant white clouds and the grounds were glorious!
Emma and her bridesmaids had stayed the night and were having fun getting ready enjoying breakfast with a few glasses of bubbly. Looking after their wedding makeup was the fabulous Lucinka Hodnett MUA and hair by the lovely girls from Fox Hair Dressing. Lots of laughs and a few tears later the girls were nearly ready so I headed down to meet George and their guests. Emma looked stunning as her dad walked her down the isle and the tissues were already being passed around the front row...
Following an emotional ceremony the newlyweds and guests made their way out on to the lawn terrace for drinks in the sunshine. The rolling Cheshire countryside made a beautiful backdrop for some family photographs and while the guests continued to mingle in the sunshine I wandered off with Emma & George for some romantic couple shots. I say wandered off, we actually jumped on to our own golf buggies and headed out over the course!
There were so many picturesque backdrops to chose from in the grounds, I knew we were going to be spoiled for choice. We took a couple of stops at various beauty spots and got some awesome photos of the new Mr and Mrs Bibby-Cheshire. This is always a great opportunity for the couple to have a little bit of time to themselves to take it all in and reflect on an amazing day.
My favorite shot was of the two stood under a giant oak tree on the course, I seem to be drawn to greenery, blue skies and clouds...
A short while later we made our way back and the happy couple made their entrance to a rapturous applause. Guests were treated to a delicious wedding breakfast and topped up their glasses ready for the speeches.
One word, Emotional! They nearly had me crying too, and I was crying with laughter when the best man gave George the gift of stabilizers for his bike. When the speeches were over everyone headed back out to the lawn to enjoy the evening sunshine. The kids, AND adults had fun on the surprise bouncy castle Emma had arranged! I left the guests to bounce and party in to the night as the sun came down and the drink kept flowing...
