Moddershall Oaks Wedding Photography

It was a pleasure to be Eimear and Edward's photographer on their big day. They picked an awe-inspiring venue to get married in. It was Moddershall Oaks Country Spa in Stone, Staffordshire. This was the first time I got the chance to visit Moddershall Oaks as a wedding photographer, and I couldn't wait to photograph there. I had previously used the spa and restaurant so I knew it was going to be great, only I wouldn't get to use the Jacuzzi this time! I started the day at The Snug Beauty Suite, part of the gorgeous spa facilities at Moddershall where Eimear, and her four bridesmaids got ready for the day. As the ladies were being pampered and the final touches made to their hair I shot the details and the beginning of their days wedding story. Once all the prep had finished Eimear arrived at the ceremony in a Classic Jaguar Mk 2 in white of course. She took a deep breath as she made her way towards the church.. The intimate ceremony was held at All Saints Church in Moddershall which is a stunning location for this tiny yet beautiful one hundred year old church. It was the perfect setting for Eimear and Edward to say their wedding vows and tie the knot. After they said their "i do's" the couple stepped out of the church doors to a flurry of confetti and cheers from their friends and family!

The reception was a success and everyone had a great time. Guests were chatting happily, as they enjoyed amazing wine specially selected by Edward, after all he job is a wine buyer! I walked around capturing the guests as they relaxed and talked. I love shooting Summer weddings and today didn't let us down with a gorgeous Staffordshire sunset as we shot portraits in the woodland next to the venue. It was lovely to see the sun out on the day, which made the guests happy, and meant they could also enjoy the grounds and a walk around the lake. As a spectacular surprise Edward had organised for the amazing Danny from the Silver service singing waiters to be present. The best bit was that nobody knew, only the happy couple. Danny mingled with the other waiters so no one had a clue, until he tripped (on purpose) and clattered a tray full of cutlery to the floor. At first the room fell silent as the guests worried for the his well being, unbeknownst to them this was all part of the plan! Danny rose to his feet and broke in to song and before you knew it the whole room was on up dancing and singing along! Later on Edward and Eimear took the floor for their first dance, played by the epic Green hot clover Irish wedding band. The guys from Manchester played an amazing set late in to the night which had everybody doing their best irish jigs! It was a long time in the planning but Eimear and Edward pulled off an awesome wedding and it was a joy to share it with them.
